It's that time of year again... PTA Board Nominations!

Are you looking for an opportunity to be more involved at Shelton View? 

Consider serving on the 2019-2020 Shelton View PTA Executive Committee! 

There are so many talented and dedicated parents and caregivers at our school, each with his or her unique skills and abilities. Our PTA programs and events depend upon these skilled and talented individuals becoming directly involved in the PTA decision-making and operational process.  We hope that many of you will consider a position on the committee and nominate yourself or someone you think would do well in a specific role.  

Board Member Qualities 

• Be invested and committed to Shelton View Elementary 
• Possess good communication and organizational skills 
• Be comfortable with assuming a leadership position 
• Be a great team player  

General Responsibilities  

• Attend once a month meeting (general or Board) 
• Attend one-time PTA training (online and in-person seminars are available) 
• Discuss and vote on policies and budgets while working towards maximizing the quality of the events and programs the PTA offers 
• Be approachable and knowledgeable about our PTA and its programs, events and policies 

Each Board position has its own responsibilities to be performed on a regular and timely basis.
