Tournament Type: WA-State Rated Invitational Chess Tournament
This chess tournament is exclusive of Northshore School District Participants, grades K-6. This tournament will consist of 5 rounds of game followed by an award ceremony.
Individuals of all levels are welcome. Come compete and cheer on your school! Team trophies will be awarded for top 7 schools (top 4 scores from each school are counted towards the team scores.). All kindergartners, First Time Tournament participants and 3+ point winners will receive an award. Player who receives 3 or more points will qualify for the WA State Elementary Chess Championship Tournament happens in April 2015. (Registering for the State tournament is still required after qualifying.)
Participation in a chess club is not needed. It is possible to participate in fewer number of games if you inform the tournament director prior to pairings.
Tournament Format: 5 round Swiss Time Control: G25 Sections: K only, 1-3rd Grade and 4-6th Grade
Tournament Location: Canyon Park Junior High School

Entry Fee: $20.00 per participant, $27.00 after February 25th
Note: Pizza and other concessions available on site. This is not a drop off event. Every child must have a responsible adult present.
